The Joseph McGowan Studio Geode Collection Workshop

Come join artist Joseph McGowan and CREATE. Studios for a unique sip and pour event.  Joseph McGowan will be the instructor for this event as you work together on one of his sculptures of a geode.  Joseph will guide you step-by-step to create a beautiful piece of artwork worthy of a gallery. 

In this class, you will learn more advanced techniques for how to mix epoxy resin with pigment and how to manipulate the epoxy to create intricate patterns and designs.  Also, he will teach you how to paint the live edge and reliefs of the geode to capture its hidden beauty.  

Don't miss this class as Joseph takes you on a journey of self discovery in the arts as he teaches you techniques that he has mastered over more than 45 years in the arts.

Class is for those 21 years of age or older. All guests will have the choice of colors for their geode. 

About Joseph McGowan

Joseph McGowan is a reverred artist with over 45 years in the arts. His works have touched many souls be it through his artwork or his spoken word poetry. His artwork of sculptures and paintings have been shown in galleries in Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, Beverly Hills, Chicago and Boston to name a few and is in private collections across America.

As a poet Joseph has a vast collection of poetry and has written one book titled Live, Love, Life a collection of thirty poems.  Joseph taught creative writing at the Rosemary Kennedy elementary school half time program and then focused on The Loma Vista middle school where he hand penned sixteen poems relevant to the children at the school. During Christmas activities over 1,200 children gathered in the auditorium to hear his works.
